On the nature of this writing I have many thoughts to share. Why my diary is rhyming lets me balance lust and care.
Lust for leisure, lust for whimsy, lust for language, lust for play. Care for truth and for correctness, care to contemplate my day. Feisty forms of flippant fancy hinder haste and help me heal, help me focus on the locus of descriptive beau ideal.
Eat the thoughts. Digest the notions. Take the time to say them right. Join the dots between emotions. Always see today's delight.
Idyllic country getaway, I'd love to live this every day. The breeze that chatters in the grass, the cloudless sky like azure glass, the trees, the deer, the winding stream, to be out here feels like a dream.
A father, mother, son, and daughter walk with waders through the water, stumbling on river rocks in rubber pants to shield their socks. They fling strung flies with soundless swishing; it seems they're really into fishing.
Fighting my body, I try to relax; I go out to run through the trees. Chest squeezing tightly, stress level at max, I pray to the earth through my feet and my knees. Shoes against dirt and my breath in my ears, each step brings a sliver of light. I haven't hurt this much in more than a year, not since I broke up with you to sleep at night. Bodies are dumb, and I'm glad for this trick to quiet the ghosts in my brain and keep my thoughts from making my stomach sick; the more I'm exhausted the less I feel pain. It's so amazing that trees and a trail are all that I need to re-calm. If there's such thing as the mind's holy grail, then meditant fitness is surely that balm.
Mirthful eyes dance behind a luminous smile that stretches across the entire world. You ask me if I'd like to think for a while, and I grin in response as the lingering seconds twist and unfurl. A moment in this sunlit forest town amid the end of summer's waning festival, our twice now encounters eradicate all trace of frown, the strength of the joy you emanate is incontestable. A present love for random passersby, a light inside that brightens the brightest day, as the blazing sun transits a crystal sky I am blessed by your radiance that cannot hide away.
And after you feed me, before I go, because who knows if we'll meet again, I ask if I can take a photo. You ask if you need to smile, and then
I say not if you don't want to. And you throw your head back and laugh.
Huge hanging hook hovers over the cars-- high heavy hoister on brown beams and bars. Out on our odyssey getting some bites, offered occasion for sport, food, and sights. Both balance bubble teas, I get the peach. Rest on a rocking chair just out of reach. Consider customer's clothing, we stare, wondering whether she's worn underwear. Drive downstream driftingly directly home; distracted detours divert where we roam. Sit softly speaking with flowers in bloom. Touch the thyme, taste the tea, delay the gloom.
